ENDORSEMENTS

Courtney Vorwald

Assistant Delaware County Attorney

I have worked with Travis Hemesath for eleven years. Travis is hard-working and persistent, and both of those characteristics are evident in the quality of his work. He strives to adapt and learn new methods in order to be prepared to respond and conduct thorough investigations. Travis shares his knowledge and experience with other law enforcement officers, because he understands how that cooperation and communication benefits the community. Travis has demonstrated a great dedication to his position as a deputy/investigator and to serving this community.

Brent Ostrander

Sgt. Investigator, Clayton County Sheriff's Office

As an Investigator with a bordering county I have witnessed Travis Hemesath's commitment to his profession and community.  I have been impressed with his attention to detail and follow through while investigating difficult crimes.  I am convinced he would serve as the formal leader of the Delaware County Sheriff's Office and am confident would execute the duties as Sheriff in a professional manner.

Brandi Lewin

Victim Witness Coordinator, Delaware County

Working directly with crime victims, I often am in direct contact with law enforcement to ensure all steps are taken from the beginning of the investigation to the very end. Working with Travis, I have found him to be compassionate to those who have become victims of crime, detailed and determined to seek justice, and overall, a leader amongst his department. I trust in Travis's ability to lead the Delaware County Sheriff's Office with integrity, purpose, and vigilance.

Matt Menard

Deputy, DARE Officer, Delaware County Sheriff's Office

I have known Travis Hemesath since he started his employment with the Delaware County Sheriff’s office in October of 2010. I have gotten to know Travis very well over the last 12 + years. We both started on the night shift and worked a vast amount of our shifts together. Travis and I have also become friends outside of work as well.

I know Travis to be a hard working individual, who follows through on his commitments to his job and family. Travis never avoided the difficult cases and always followed through with his obligations to serve the residents of Delaware County. As Sheriff, I am confident he would be fair and impartial. I believe him to be someone who will be true to one’s 2nd amendment rights. I know Travis to be an individual with integrity and someone I would entrust with the position of Sheriff for Delaware County.

Mandy Bieber
Delaware County Emergency Management Coordinator

I fully support Deputy Travis Hemesath for the office of Delaware County Sheriff. I have known Travis for five years now, working with him both as a part time dispatcher and now as full-time emergency management coordinator. During the time that I have known Travis in these professional capacities, he has proven himself to be a capable leader and an astute investigator. He is always willing to go the extra mile, whether that means staying after his shift to help cover calls, or to expand his skillset, putting in extra time training. Travis has future forward ideas for the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office. It will be a pleasure watching him grow this office and collaborating with him to provide the best in emergency response for the citizens of Delaware County.
